Quarttz Crystal Units
"Quartz Crystal" shaped from a single crystal of hexagonal form has been valued rather as a jewel since old times. In 1880, the piezo - electric effect of crystals was discoverd by Piere Curie. In 1912, the quartz crystal oscillator was developed by W.G. Cady as a means of frequency control. Today, a large number of quartz crystal oscillators are being used in various fields of the electronics industry.
